Welcome to my blog - Raid Pyrenees is a 710km ride across 19 mountain passes through the French Pyrenees with a time limit of 100 hours. A few people have said to me, "do a blog, do a blog, so we can track you". So.... here it is..... a hilarious account of cycling in the Pyrenees. Well, it probably won't be that funny to be honest, not much funny about 12000 vertical meters of cycling!

Training
I am not going to talk too much about training as its pretty boring! So in summary, I have done quite a bit, (2300km) but have lacked any of the structure and consistency that would have turned me into Sir Bradley of Wiggins. Instead I have allowed myself to be distracted by anything and everything. So instead of posting a few pictures of me training, (of which I have a grand total of 0) below is a few pictures of the distractions!

The Sala Bai Cause.....
In taking on this challenge I am hoping to raise $3000 for a charity that funds a school in Siem Reap Cambodia called Sala Bai.
The school educates underprivileged young Cambodians with the necessary skills to work in the hospitality industry, thereby securing them employment and providing an opportunity and options in life which would otherwise be impossible for them.
If you would like to donate, click on the sponsor jon edwards link, (top right of page) or for more information visit the websites about Sala Bai at the base of the blog.
